Wellness In Covent Garden
It’s no secret that I’m a passionate advocate for travel as a way to well-being, as I truly believe that wellness travel is for everyone.
Traveling in ways that rejuvenate is something we can undoubtedly all use a bit more of these days!
In fact, just a few weeks ago a friend and I made time for a wellness weekend getaway in London to relax, reboot & recharge.
After all, there’s nothing like quality time with an old friend to boost your happiness, right?
The approach was a little bit of wellness travel planning, mixed in with some spontaneous adventure.
It was mindful, thoughtful and great fun! And other than some google maps, it was a nearly tech-free vacation.
We practiced the everyday simple steps to healthier travels, kept up with our self-care routines by incorporating healthy mind & body practices and really dove into some of the unique & fun things the city has to offer.
But if a weekend isn’t your thing, don’t worry. There are plenty of wellness things to do Covent Garden that you can fit into any London day trip.
London, England is a regular stop on my travel agenda.
I love to photograph London and my go-to hotel in Covent Garden is the perfect central place from which to explore.
There’s always something new to experience and the atmosphere changes with each season.

Take an Early Morning Walk
Stretch those legs and welcome the day with a mindful early morning ramble!
One of the unique things about Covent Garden is the many pedestrian streets and alleyways. Making it ideal for a walk or even a jog.
It’s blissful to experience the peace and quiet of this area before it fills with both locals and tourists alike.
You get a better appreciation for the beautiful architecture and can experience it’s hidden corners in solitude.
Do Meditative Yoga
There’s nothing better for the mind & body than a quiet, slow, and meditative class.
And tucked away on a quiet side street in Covent Garden is Yogarise, the perfect place to find your bliss.
This yoga studio is a lovely space with lots of natural light that streams through the oversized windows. While they offer a variety of classes, it’s their Yin yoga classes that stand out for me.

Get an Energizing Chair Massage
Does stress have your neck in knots?
Or did you just spend way too many hours on a plane?

Relax spa believes that massage is a gift from the gods and that it helps to give you more energy. Who can argue with that?
This spa in St. Martin’s Courtyard offers deep tissue, Swedish, sports, full-body, couples, and chair massages!
The last of which is my go-to when I have jetlag or my neck is tired from carrying a heavy camera bag. And the best part is that same-day appointments are easy to come by!
Grab a Healthy Lunch
Farmstand is an unassuming cafe located right off the beaten path in Covent Garden.
Their daily menu is 80 % veggie, 15% meat & 5% sustainable fish. So if you are in need of some plant-based goodness, this is a good place.
It’s a great place to grab a quick healthy lunch, at a reasonable price point.
I love the mix and match salad option. And you’ll feel good supporting a business that has won multiple sustainable food awards!
Enjoy Vegetarian Dining
Another find tucked away in colorful Neal’s Court is the vegetarian restaurant Wild Food Cafe.
A healthy food heaven, all of their food is organic and plant-based. You can’t go wrong here for vegetarian and vegan dining.
This is not your everyday vegetarian fare.
The menu is creative, regularly changes and many of the selections are raw. The smoothies are awesome, and it’s fresh and nourishing food.
Just as it’s meant to be!
Rest & Relax in St. Paul’s Courtyard
Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden is the little known church garden of St. Paul’s Church.
Lined with benches, this quiet spot is the perfect place to take a pause from the vibrant surrounding area.

Find Inspiration at The Theater
If it’s inspiration your heart & soul need then head to the theater!
The West End of London is one of the premier places to see a show and it’s something everyone should do here at least once!
Why? Because it’s magical. The theater brings people together. It moves us. It allows us to think, feel, grow our perspectives, laugh, and even cry.
Leaving the theater is like walking out of a concert, you simply feel better. And you know that your life is somehow richer than it was before.
