But even if you can’t fly to your dream destination right now, all is not lost.

There’s another way to support well-being via travel all wrapped up in one small package, it’s called the good ole day trip!

Great things happen when you blend two incredibly popular activities like photography and travel. Certainly, it’s bound to add happiness to your adventures.

In addition, it’s a fabulous way to experience mindful travel.

It affords an opportunity to slow down, appreciate the seasons, and dive into the details around you.

A photo excursion is ideal as a day trip because it can be done absolutely anywhere. Here are a few ideas:

  • explore a big city
  • visit a historic park
  • rediscover your home town
  • go someplace you’ve never been
  • get in the car & go where the wind blows

Taking your camera and going out to explore is a great way to escape for the day. And because it often involves lots of walking, it’s good for the mind & body.
